HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is an image format used by Apple on iPhone since iOS 11. It compresses 50% better than JPG but is not supported by all devices.

Why does iPhone use HEIC instead of JPG?

Apple chose HEIC because it compresses better than JPG, saving iPhone storage space. You can switch to JPG in Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible.

Can I convert multiple HEIC files at once?

Yes. Ezlun supports batch conversion. You can select multiple HEIC files at once and download them all as a ZIP file.
